About This Blog

I began this blog a few weeks before heading to England to pursue a Master's degree in Museum and Artefact Studies from Durham University. I intended it to be part travel blog, part rumblings about graduate school, part comedy, part drama, and 100% authentic. You'll have to be the judge on whether or not I succeeded. This was the first blog I ever wrote and as such it is at times meandering, inconsistent, and silly. I hope you will forgive its shortcomings and enjoy the journey that led me to find my own voice.

If you enjoy what you see here, please subscribe and tell a few friends. While An American in Durham may no longer be updated, it's always nice to find new readers. I also have another blog I've just started called Postcards from Leicester which continues my (mis)adventures in another English city.

I do ask that if you use any content from this blog, that you will link back to my original post.

Finally, I hope you enjoy reading about my time in Durham as much as I enjoyed living it. Happy travels!
